Sparton Rugged Electronics (Sparton RE) offers displays, computers and other ruggedized electronics for the defense, marine, industrial and air traffic control markets. Sparton RE incorporates the Stealth.com and Aydin Displays brands under one website. They are part of the Sparton Corporation, a global leader with over 100 years of experience in the contract design and manufacture of electromechanical devices for the military, aerospace and other industries.
Summary of My Work
I built and developed the website from the ground up and incorporated many customizations for the company's and customers unique needs. Fully developed all content on the website from product and category descriptions, company verbiage, marketing material such as newsletters and press releases, photography and more. As Marketing Manager of Sparton RE I managed a small team of web/marketing individuals which we continued to add new capabilities (such as Live Chat, Product Filtering, Abandoned Carts, etc.), improve our content for SEO and tie in all of our marketing platforms.
The Sparton RE website was originally branded as "Stealth.com". Later Stealth.com and sister company Aydin Displays merged under the division Sparton Rugged Electronics and the website was modified to incorporate Aydin Displays as well as Stealth in one integrated website. Originally estimated at 6 months development time I was able to complete development and launch the website it half the time, just 3 months time.
The Sparton RE website features Ecommece and Quoting functionality. Products can be searched by category or filtered by key specifications. The custom online configurator allows users to fully customize their computers or displays to their exact specification or order it instantly if ready. Product model pages all feature rich content with written SEO-friendly descriptions, full detailed technical specifications, downloads & drawings and high quality product photography.
The new Sparton RE website gave us automation and efficencies, replacing two old antiquated websites that were tedious to update/manage. The new website helped reverse downward trends in web traffic and helped bring in new customers and audience by new and growing organic traffic. Ecommerce has increased dramatically since launch increasing year over year, additional online quotes and leads have also increased giving the sales team more opportunties then ever before.
